The John Paul Boys Cross Country team capped off another successful season with a second place finish at the VISAA Cross Country State Championships this past Thursday at Woodberry Forest School in Orange, VA. The team was led by Senior James Bertram’s 6th place finish and Juniors Elijah Thompson and Austin Colvin’s 11th and 15th place finishes earning the trio All State Honors. Sophomore Jonah Berkey (31th) and Senior Cole Bornschein (32nd) rounded out the top 5 scores for the Wolves to help them secure the team as the State Runner-Up. In the girls race, Senior Isabella Alicea, Sophomore Gianna Albanese, Junior Katrina Carter, Freshman Tegan Bechtel, and Junior Erynn Spiegeler were the top five scorers for the lady wolves who all ran personal best times for this course. Congratulations to Boys finishing as VISAA State Runner-Up!
