The John Paul Cross Country team competed in the Virginia Christian Athletic Conference (VCAC) Meet #1 yesterday at Leesylvania State Park. The JP Boys team pulled out a one point victory over Trinity Christian in this first in a series of conference meets. Leading the boys team were Junior Elijah Thompson, Senior James Bertram, and Junior Austin Colvin who finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th overall. Senior Stephen Miller’s 8th place and Sophomore Louis Dobson’s 10th place finish rounded out the top five scorers for the Wolves. In the girls race, Senior Isabella Alicea and Sophomore Gianna Albanese’s 8th and 10th place finishes paced the JP lady wolves to a 4th place finish. Overall the team saw lots of personal bests on this 5K course. Congratulations to the JP Cross Country team on this early season success.
