After losing to the St. Catherine's Saints the last time they met, the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Saint John Paul the Great Catholic took down the Saints 50-34 on Friday.
Saint John Paul the Great Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nina Velandria, who scored 21 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Saleema Tinner, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Saint John Paul the Great Catholic's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for St. Catherine's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
