Swimming in two individual events, the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke, Salvatori broke the meet records for each event and was voted the boys swimmer of the meet by the participating teams' coaches. He broke the two-year old 200 IM meet record by almost a second with a time of 1:57.14 and the four-year old 100 backstroke meet record by two seconds with a time of 53.25.
He also led the boys team in impressive swims for the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
Overall, the boys team finished 3rd and the girls team 4th in the annual championship event hosted by Seton. Additional teams competing in the meet included Bishop Ireton, Bishop O'Connell, St. Paul VI, St. Gertrude, Oakcrest and Benedictine.
